Permanent makeup in Geneva: microblading, ombré, combo and lips blush
Permanent makeup deposits pigment into the upper layer of the skin. It is neither a conventional tattoo nor something you remove in the evening: the pigment fades gradually and is refreshed. That is why every treatment below exists as a new set followed by touch-ups spaced over time.
All techniques are performed at our studio on Rue Neuve-du-Molard, Geneva.
Consultation first
Every family of treatments includes a 30-minute consultation on its own. It exists to examine your skin, agree on shape and pigment, and check there is no contraindication. It is charged separately and commits you to nothing.
If you have never had permanent makeup, start there rather than with a set.
Microblading
Microblading draws fine strokes by hand, hair by hair. It is the closest technique to a natural brow: up close you see individual strokes rather than a block of colour.
It suits sparse or uneven brows on dry to normal skin. On oily skin the strokes tend to spread and blur as they heal — ombré or combo hold better in that case.
Five options: consultation, new set, touch-up at 4-6 weeks, and an annual touch-up at 6-12 months. The set takes up to 2 hours.

Ombré Brows
Ombré creates a gradient of pigment, lighter at the head of the brow and denser toward the tail. It draws no strokes: the result reads like a brow lightly filled with pencil.
Unlike microblading, ombré works on all skin types, including oily, and ages more cleanly — it is often the recommendation when skin produces a lot of sebum.
Four options, up to 2.5 hours for a new set. The annual touch-up stretches to 12-18 months.

Combo Brows
Combo does both: microblading strokes at the head of the brow, ombré through the body and tail. You get the realism of strokes where the brow is most visible, and the durability of ombré where density is needed.
It is the most complete technique, and the longest to apply (up to 2.5 hours).

Lips Blush
Lips blush tints the lips an even, soft shade. It does not redraw the outline the way older permanent makeup did: it revives the colour and corrects slight asymmetry.
It is the longest treatment on the menu — up to 3 hours — because lips require several passes. Annual touch-up between 12 and 18 months.

The real timeline
Permanent makeup is not judged on the day. The sequence is always the same:
- Consultation — shape, pigment, contraindications
- New set — the colour looks too dark for the first few days; that is normal
- Healing — the pigment lightens noticeably, sometimes unevenly
- Touch-up at 4-6 weeks (6-8 for lips) — this is where the result is actually settled
- Annual touch-up — 6-12 months for microblading, 12-18 for ombré, combo and lips
A set without its touch-up is not finished work. Plan for both from the start.
Contraindications
We do not perform permanent makeup during pregnancy or breastfeeding, on broken or irritated skin in the area, or following recent isotretinoin treatment. Some anticoagulants and skin conditions require medical advice first — that is precisely what the consultation is for.
Booking
Book the consultation if you are unsure which technique fits, or the new set directly if you already know. The touch-up is scheduled together at the end of the first appointment.
